Charity and Fundraising

DIAB Engineering extends its philosophy of truly understanding people to individuals and groups in the community. Our company believes in sustainability by getting involved and doing whatever it takes to service those needs.DIAB Engineering believes in sustaining and growing the communities it works in.

Our company has participated in community activities ranging from apprenticeship programs to fundraising since our founding in 1970. A highlight of our recent community building happened in 2009 while working on a mining project in Ghana.

DIAB Engineering, Red Back Mining, Atlas Copco, the Australian Red Cross, Toll West, Lighthouse Thrift Shop and Midwest Murchison Family Day Care collaborated with the Australian-African non-profit supporting the Adullam Orphanage near Accra, Ghana. Our combined team members in Western Australia and on site near Accra, Ghana gave their time and efforts to fundraising and collecting donations of clothing, toys and books.

Glen Payne from DIAB Engineering presenting gifts to Addulam Orphanage near Accra Ghana

Glen Payne and DIAB Engineering staff collected and organised the shipment of much needed items to the orphanage. Glen was part of the team presented the gifts to the orphanage. Fellow Australian, James Doherty from Red Back Mining led the fundraising by raising money through sponsors. He completed a gruelling three-day Gascoyne Dash on a motorbike and raised $20,000. James' funds were used to cover orphanage school fees. See our fundraising article in the  Geraldton Guardian.

At DIAB Engineering we continue to be an active member of the communities we work in and work in partnerships with our local community organisations.
